About Pedro Morrison
Pedro G. Morrison dearly touched the lives of countless people during his lifetime. In addition to helping to develop Wellington, he was an avid polo player and patron of the Sympatico Polo Team. He saw the people around him as friends and helped others whenever he saw the opportunity.
Pedro was in the prime of his life when he passed away at the polo field of his Sympatico Farm in Wellington. He was a generous philanthropist and served many years on the board of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches and touched numerous lives through his charitable contributions, most of them geared towards helping children. Each year, during the polo season we celebrate Pedro’s generosity and love of children and polo in a series of fundraising events called “Polo With Pedro”.
This year the funds raised from Polo With Pedro supporters will go into building a new preschool building on the YMCA of the Palm Beaches property on South Congress Avenue, West Palm Beach. The current preschool building was condemned this year, and the children and families relying on this essential resource are currently operating out of a trailer. Supporters of this year’s Polo With Pedro will help kick start a capital campaign to build a building for families who would not normally be able to send their children to a preschool…..We need your support like never before, and we have some fun events for you to attend……
